So you have a new puppy? Or perhaps you've rescued a more mature dog?
You can't remember what it was like to have a puppy, or you wonder how you can train your new family member into becoming a part of the family.
That's where we can help. Spring Park Dog Training School aims to teach families how to have a well-mannered pet, so that friends and family members welcome the newcomer into their midst. No longer will people dread coming to see you for fear of what the newcomer might be up to!
We run a five-week Newcomers course that will train you how to train your dog in a number of things including:
- coming to you when called
- having good food manners
- walking calmly to heel
- allowing you through the door first, rather than barging you out of the way!
We will also teach you how to give your dog a healthcheck, how to groom and how to teach your dog to look for you when off lead. At the end of the Newcomers course, you will be well on the way to having a loving and obedient pet who will be a pleasure to live with.
Where and when do we meet?
We meet on Mondays (excluding August and Bank Holidays) at Greystones Scout Hall, West Wickham (see below for full address and map). The Newcomers course costs £25 in total, which includes £10 membership and £15 for the five-week course. Subsequent classes are just £2.00 per week.
If you're interested in joining, or would like to come and see what we do, please fill in the email form on the 'Contact Us' page. You are more than welcome to come along a week or two before the next Newcomers course to chat, or to join up and socialise with others who may be visiting.
