Spring Park Dog Training School - Teaches families how to have a well-mannered pet
Who are we?

We are a small team of instructors who have owned dogs for many years.

Steve Woods has run Spring Park Dog Training School since 2009, but has been an instructor for 30 years.
Carole, Elaine and Xana have joined Steve in the past few years to give you a varied training experience, combining joint and one-to-one training in every lesson.

What else do we do?

We support Guide Dogs For The Blind:
  • we sell treats for training and the money goes to GDBA
  • for every sheet of paper that we print for the school, we donate 10p to GDBA

What we do in each class:

Class 1: 7:30-8:05 pm
This is the five-week Newcomer course (see Home page for details)

Class 2: 8:10-8:40 pm
In this class, you build on your basic training, combining obedience and fun training, to expand on retrieves, stays and heelwork, as well as learning about distractions on the walk, leaving things, hide and so on

Class 3: 8:45-9-15 pm
Here we teach you more advanced training, including scent discrimination, difficult stays and long recalls, plus fun training and games to help with training

Class 4: 9:20-10:00 pm
Much more advanced!  Plus more fun, such as stay/wait pairs challenge, packing your toybox and Learning to Read.
